IMO, Sherman Howard gives one of the finest performances ever in a horror movie as Bub. It’s positively Karloffian in its exquisite detail and pathos. Favorite moment – When he picks up the book and claws at the cover as if the image on it is three dimensional. Beautiful. Just beautiful.
