POD is John Carpenter’s homage to Nigel Kneale. Unfortunately, Kneale was none too pleased about it and had had a previous bad experience writing Halloween III: Season Of The Witch when he was re-written.

Critical reaction on initial release was bad but it’s subsequently been positively reassessed.
