If you haven’t seen this one, give it a try. Great fun. Interesting fact – Dashiell Hammett’s novel was adapted by real life husband and wife, Hackett and Goodrich, and it really shows. (They got an Oscar nomination for it) The dialogue just fizzes with chemistry. One of cinema’s best couples.
Agreed. Saw The Thin Man for the first time about a month ago and loved it. Didn’t know they were IRL man-and-wife, but they clearly had some crackle to them.
Bonus early Jimmy Stewart in one of their movies too. Great series.

What’s absolutely delightful about the first (and best) film is that Nick and Nora seem to be permanently sozzled throughout.

What does the time machine have to do with it?
I made a mistake downloading pictures. My Thin Man poster and my Time Machine picture were both called TM. I made an amended Thin Man post which everyone’s ignored.
