The fact that Joker hasn’t run into someone (a cop or a judge who doesn’t buy the insanity plea and is pro-death penalty) is what makes DC harder to believe sometimes. Sure, no one stays dead for ever, but Goblin was gone for how long after he killed Gwen? Loki’s died a few times too.
