You see, whilst Homo neanderthalensis was discovered to have interbred with Homo sapiens 45,000 to 80,000 years ago contributing 1-4% of their nucleic data to the modern human, the two were entirely separate species. H. neanderthalensis eventually succumbed to the superiority of H sapiens and is now extinct. In conclusion, maintaining the rhythmic pentameter of the tune with incorrect data is inexcusable and frankly, sloppy.
Another common mistake of the lowly masses is the notion that the scientific name of the modern human is Homo sapiens, that is in fact incorrect.
