PS: The Battle of Trenton took place on DECEMBER 26, 1776, during the American Revolutionary War after General George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River north of Trenton, New Jersey. The hazardous crossing in adverse weather allowed Washington to lead the main body of the Continental Army against Hessian soldiers garrisoned at Trenton. After a brief struggle, nearly the entire Hessian force was captured, with negligible losses to the Americans. The battle boosted the Continental Army’s flagging morale, and inspired re-enlistments.
THe battle took place on the 26th. Christmas is the 25th. Suck on that, fuck sticks that need to read a history book.
The attack started before midnight, which would be Christmas. Fuck stick.

The assault on Trenton began on Christmas Day around 5pm with the Colonial troops crossing the Delaware River and began marching on Trenton around 3am. The actual firefight began around 8am on December 26th.
“The Hessians in Trenton were in an exposed position, and it was known that they would heartily celebrate Christmas on the night of Dec. 25 th. Washington decided on a predawn attack on the 26 th, while the troops and officers were tired, and hopefully some suffering hangovers.”
