    casemods: No, practical as in either maps so that you can familiarize yourself with countries, major cities, and general geography, or pictures from around the world so you can get a taste of the architecture, cities, natural landscapes, sunsets, and overall scenery of different countries throughout the world. At least, those are what I use *my* wallpaper for (I have a program so that it rotates every 60 seconds, allowing for many different pictures).

    Of course, if you’re a chemistry student, you could have the periodic table, or if you’re an art enthusiast, you could have different paintings; etc, etc.

    wut the fuck is up with chrome? has anyone had problems with it not running? the same day they quit referring to it as Beta, mine quite working. u can launch it anyway u want and it drops the command immediately.

    yawn: Because THAT doesn’t slow down you’re computer, having it change the background every minute? How can you learn anything for looking at a picture for a minute anyway? Are you like constantly staring at your background? Why are you on MCS? You don’t learn anything here! Close the browser and look at your background, man!

    flyingcat88: Well, obviously the cumulative time you spend viewing your background throughout the entirety of your life adds up. You might as well stare at pictures that offer an educational experience. 😉

    Besides, sometimes when I’m exhausted from working, it’s nice to minimize all the windows and stare at the Swiss Alps, or an Aruba sunset.

    Casemods, if having a wallpaper slows down your computer, you need to worry less about which browser is faster and more about replacing that 486 of yours.

    Dreth: It’s an old p4 2.8 with 1 gig. They slow down after a while.

    yawn: Was just kidding with you, but it just sounded so weird… :P… yeah nice looking at something nice from time to time.. but i’ll just get distracted if it’s an “advanced” wallpaper. Wonder what I’ll find if I google that phrase? See, it’s disctracting me already :O
