@...Blackangel: actually its the Javelin. the dragon has its targeting system slightly above the missile tube, you would be able to see it in the picture. the Javelin’s system is slightly below the tube, thus the soilders dont have to expose themselves more than necessary. the soilder on the left side of the missile, is confirming the infrared signature from the targeting system on a laptop.
The targeting system is one of the most advanced FLIRs in the Army and Marines inventory. it has been reported that crews use them for surveillance without a missile tube
