Red Tornado is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Dick Dillin, the sentient android Red Tornando first appeared in Justice League of America #64. The name had previously been used for comical superheroine Ma Hunkel, who was introduced in All-American Comics in 1939 and started using the Red Tornado name in 1940.
