You DO realize that the commies were the ones that defeated Hitler? They did most of the work and the allied forces just walked in a capitulated country?

That’s a rather broad generalisation. Bearing in mind that the UK was the first to declare war on Germany, shortly followed by France, Australia and New Zealand, the allies did not just ‘walk in’. Every player in the war had a major part to play, including western Europe, the Soviets, and obviously the US (despite putting it off as long as you could). The defeat of Hitler was the result of a complex 6 years of war.

Except Russia lost 20 million people in the process.

Your westernized education isn’t doing you any favours.

The Soviets could have won on their own. The allies couldn’t have won without the Soviets.

The war would have been much longer and bloodier in Europe without the Soviets, but that doesn’t mean Germany would have won.

The fact of the matter is the US only suffered a few hundred thousand casualties in the war. They still had millions of soldiers to spare at the end of the war, and a production base Germany couldn’t touch.

Also NUKES.

It would have been a completely Pyrrhic victory in Europe though.
