Brett Michael Kavanaugh is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. He was nominated by President Donald Trump to succeed Anthony Kennedy and took the oath of office on October 6, 2018. He previously served as a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and as a staff lawyer for various offices of the federal government of the United States.

He was accused by several women of sexual assault. Due to his connections with fellow republicans, all complaints against him were dropped after his nomination to SCOTUS was approved by a Republican held Senate.
