Had the opportunity to drive the Top one… Roughly 2002, the old man acquired himself his old college toy….. He got himself a 1969 and a half Corvette…. The previous owner had set it up to run quarter miles. The 69 and a half had the curves of the 70’s body coupled with the chrome of the front and rear bumpers (*very* sexy), coupled with the straight side pipes on the outside (very easy to burn your calfs exiting the car.
The previous owner had set it up with a 327 small block for torque, *with a blower* for off the line torque, with an Alison tranny….. every hose was braided.

The jerk of a father let it sit untouched for 15 years before he finally sold it (a previous questionable mechanic dismantled it, but important bits were “lost” in a fire in the shop….
