I remember seeing this in a “making of” doc about Raiders…apparently Harrison/Indy’s fedora kept flying off during the chase scenes, and multiple solutions for keeping it on weren’t working. In a moment of mischief Ford borrowed a PA’s staplegun, surreptitiously emptied it, then walked up to a frustrated Spielberg and did this. I’m glad they caught it on camera.
