Mind bogglingly difficult / frustrating video game that I just don’t have the patience for. After missing a jump for the 20th time, I just gave up on it and uninstalled.
Based on a book of the same name, this is a great feel good movie with a confusing cast of characters playing outside of their range (20+ play teens? ok.), but still managed to end with a great sense of purpose.
I really thought I had already watched this, but there were so many portions of it that felt new to me. It’s on Netflix right now in glorious 4k HDR, if you have the ability to watch it that way, I highly suggest it.

A fantastically packaged collection of mediocre games. I’m sure for their time (1986, 1987, 1988) they were acceptable, but this collection left me wanting more.
It’s like groundhog day, but with a first date twist. I enjoyed it, as I enjoy most time loop movies, though the main character really didn’t use his loops the way most others do, he was pretty dumb about the whole thing and really only came out with a positive outcome because he just gave up on the idea of being with the perfect woman, as played by the nearly perfect Alexandria Daddario.

I completely agree with this review, it’s a much more fun game than I was expecting. I’m not anywhere near done with it yet, so my review is going to take much longer, but from what I can tell it’s a solid game with a great execution.

Unfortunate that I read this so long after it came out. From what I understand, it is the progenitor of many of the scifi / cyberpunk tropes that I love so dearly. Seeing them in such an early stage though, it just feels…wrong.

While it wasn’t a terrible experience, I would hesitate to call this a “game”.
The movie opens with an infamous Rape Room that birthed Freddy; an origin that took 5 movies to get to and is completely fucked up in any way that I think about it. This scene is followed up by a graduation scene that goes on way too long and doesn’t really have the same feel as the rest of the movie. Turns out that Freddy was a demon baby from birth! born from a nun that was nearly raped to death by crazy people, but this isn’t just a flashback though, this is the actual rebirth of freddy, and freddy can getcha while you’re awake now! but why!?
Maybe because the main girl is “just a little pregnant”?
There was another rap song during the credits, I don’t think freddy was rapping this time though, for better or worse.
Found it for like $10 in 4k, so I bought it in 4k, then I watched it in 4k. It was pretty great in 4k, but it’s not all that much different in 4k. Maybe I’ve seen the movie too many times, but at this point, my memory of the film is in higher quality than the film itself.
