Cat food, LEGO, Big Batteries, An Opossum, and Cat Posers

Our three foster kittens have been eating this stuff, I’m a fan of the name.
Target had a $20 lego sale, so i bought a couple sets!
I now have a total of four batmobiles I think. There was a ’89 one somewhere in my old work office, I’m not 100% sure it made it home with me, and if it did, where it is now.
This little guy is alive and just fine, he scared the carp out of me when I was cleaning my car. When I first found him, he was wedged all down into the wheel well and all I saw was his fur sticking out by the door!
My 12 year old UPS battery finally failed, so I was given the opportunity to replace it. Turns out it’s not just one battery in there, but two!
This picture of Miles cracks me up, look at his little belly!

Ambulance

This is about as refined of a movie you’re ever going to get from Michael Bay, it’s obvious that he’s been refining his drone work, and his pairing with Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen, and IIEiza González are nearly a match made in heaven, as they’re apparently able to take his direction without turning it into pure camp.
There’s a specific demographic that Bay aims for, I’m somewhat in it, but I feel he’s really done a great job at making a film here.

Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story

I only heard of this guy after the news broke about his unfortunate life choices and the hundreds of people that he took advantage of. The damming part of the story is that of all the police that were contacted and were made aware of what he was doing, not a single one of them got even the barest slap on the wrist. After all, they investigated themselves and found no wrong doing!
Informative but depressing to watch and learn about.

The Lost City

This definitely feels like it was made for direct to streaming audiences, so I was definitely surprised when it was only in theaters for a (short?) time period. It finally came to Paramount Plus, so I got to watch it on my free month’s worth of the service. This isn’t the first time that I’ve used it, but now the shine is off and I’m now certain that I won’t be renewing the account when it comes time to actually pay for it. In theory I’m on the “no ads” model, but ever episode has an ad before it. Also, it rolls right into another movie or episode when your selected content is done, something that I’ve ripped on netflix about before, and I’ll rip PP for it too, it’s a lousy thing to do and I’d like to be able to turn it off.
This is supposed to be about the Sandra Bullock movie “The Lost City” though, so I guess I’ll say this, it’s entertaining and I got a couple pretty good laughs out of it. If you’re looking for some easy comedy with beautiful on location scenery, combined with terrible green screen, all with the reliability of Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock, this might do it for ya.

Trickster

Only six episodes long and released 2 years ago, so there’s not likely going to be a sequel, but that’s just fine, this mini series did everything I could hope for with the subject matter, going places that I didn’t expect with a story that seems goofy on the face of it, but has some significantly interesting aspects to it.
