I love cryptozoology, from the batshit insane theories to the stuff that actually could exist. It's a shame that the batshit insane theories get the most play on television. The leopard seal always reminded me of a plesiosaur, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a seal cryptid roaming the oceans giving people the illusion that it is a sea serpent. The longest sea monster is a Cadborosaurus willsi and the smallest one I think is a "trident tailed sea serpent".

Eric Powell, of The Goon, did an amazing spin on modern day vampires and their true vampire ancestors, and what would happen if said groups would meet. The comic, "The Vampire Dame Had to Die" a group of crushed velvet dressed modern vampires, consisting of very ambigous men and one fat goth chick (described as the closest to a man in the group) call upon an ancient vampire woman to exact revenge on The Goon. She is appalled by their behavior (basically they were bitten by vampires so that they could wear corsets and drink blood because it was fashionable), and kills them out of pure irritation.

It's a photoshop of this image: http://vulpesffb.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/chupa.jpg The uneditted version was going around the web claiming it was either the Chupacabra or an Iraqi cave demon. It's really a model of Gollum from LOTR.

@Rattybad, from the special "Born the Wrong Gender", unfortunately I didn't remember the exact percentage, I just remember it was extremely high and in the 90s.

What you mentally feel like has a bigger effect on you than what you have been phyiscally born. In the past decade people are becoming more and more aware that the genderlines are not as rigid as previously thought, and that people have different variations of masculinity and feminity in their heads. Situations such as this seem to be growing. I have to admit, 13 seems extremely young. But I can only imagine the hell it must be to be trapped in a body you don't identify with. If I recall a special on Discovery Health (Born the Wrong Gender), I think most people are are born with a sense of awareness on what gender they identify as. I believe 90 percent of people who go through the procedures and surgery to become a different gender, do not regret it at all and are actually extremely, extremely happy. So I wish the best of luck to her and her future happiness.

I'm on the fence with this. I could see it equally as being a troll (who should consider a career in journalism) and for real, because sadly, I went to the school with kids who had parents who were that fucking retarded.
  • Comment on Boys Like Blue - Girls Like Pink (2008-12-04 00:32:11)
Checking out the pile of stuff the girl has, I notice a lot of is items you wouldn't find in a child's room: like hair care products, dental care, even the pink crayons and pink art supplies are picked out of the package. There's even a pink altoid box by what appears to be several packages of pink tooth paste. I think the girl's stuff has been supplemented, and I'm sure if I were to go around my house and collect blue stuff, I probably could be get a good collection for the boy's side (I even noticed many of the boy's items are in blue containers while the girl's stuff is spread out). The shit you notice when you're avoiding writing a final paper.

It's even important to note the amount of items in the girl's room compared to the boy's room. A lot of boys' toys and accessories are red rather than blue, which my explain the lack of items, still it's something to look into. Most of my stuff growing up was green and yellow.

@Ben1605 It's a gritty noir-ish visual novel based on the what-if factor, if super heroes really existed in our time, what things would be like, taking place during the Cold War and on the verge of a nuclear war. Almost every character is a realistic version of a famous superhero, and even more fucked up than the superhero they're based on.
