To be honest, i think when it comes to cinematography, he is up there with the best. However when he writes dialog thats when he flops. Take
“The Happening” for example. Cinematographer’s gazum fest, but made the actors i know are really good connect them with terrible lines, and we got one shitty movie. I haven’t done any research but i hope he steps it up, gets someone else to write dialog, and puts the focus on a concrete story.
I really hope this movie is good. I can’t wait to see Uncle Iroh be badass.

Exactly. I just love it when people think the word Avatar (either the Last Airbender or the 10ft tall blue aliens) was invented for the cartoon/movie. The word is really old, from Hindu mythology (maybe earlier?).
