I’m playing through De Blob. I played “De Blob 2” back in 2018 and while the sequel is vastly better, this original game still has a ton going for it and I still highly recommend it.
I had to look that one up. Looks like fun and it’s on sale on Steam!
it has a cool hook between the amount of area that you’ve colored and the music that’s going on. The levels are all way too long, I think they should be about 1/3 of the size, but they’re incredibly fun.
Without sounding sycophantic, I actually enjoy browsing ‘MyConfinedSpace’ on a daily basis. It never ceases to amaze me the creativeness of the human spirit and this site displays oodles of it, across a wide spectrum of beliefs, philosophies, politics and artistic endeavours.
And music, especially Classical music – the stuff that can be extremely emotive without having to resort to words.
So, there are two things that help me to rise above the wanton destruction that surrounds us.
Thank you for that.
You have a favorite track or style?
The ‘problem’ with Classical music is that there are so many styles. My favourite composers would be Beethoven, Tchaikovsy, Ravel, Holst, Jenkins, Borodin, Rimsky-Korsakov, Sibelius… the list goes on. Not so much Mozart, etc as I find the earlier efforts to be too mathematical. I prefer the longer sweeping melodies (which might explain my penchant for the earlier Pink Floyd), And, of course, any favourites are determined by my mood at the time.
Finishing off the 3rd book in a series while I wait for the 1st one to finally get published. Went back to Kenpo. Cleaned all my guns and went to the range. Trolling conservatives on Twitter. The usual.
You’re writing the series? Or are you stuck in a temporal loop?
Writing it. My first foray into Sci-Fi after a long time in urban fantasy.
Although, this 3rd book is fighting me. I may as well be in a temporal loop.
Focus on Humanism. Your 1-mile radius matters more than what social media asserts. It helps to turn off the news and Reddit occasionally. Things are a lot more quiet and _way_ less depressing. MCS-style giggly content, calm/flowy video games, quiet walks with your surroundings – natural or urban, hugs (HUG SOMEONE – ANYONE), and playing with your kids/dogs/cats/fish. Learn to meditate and silence your brain. Learn to look at the sky and don’t be distracted with thoughts. Seriously though, look at the sky. There’s no way a reasonable human being can look at the sky and think that politics, religion, sexuality, or any form of ideology matters. Humanity is worth saving even if everyone is looking for an excuse to be angry. Plant trees under whos shade you’ll never sit. Remember that we’re all crew on Spaceship Earth.
I have been enjoying bong hits. Lots and lots of bong hits. My doctor REALLY wants me to stop smoking both marijuana, and cigarettes. I told him that I could only see the usage of both increasing exponentially for the next four years. He looked at me, smiled, and said that he understood.
