After reading the book for the first time, of course I had to watch the movie again. I’m still thinking that I like the story edits for the movie much better than the story in the book, but at the same time, the book is so much more fleshed out. That’s not necessarily a surprise, but it is what it is.

Picked up the book recently at a local used book store. So it’s now on the “to read” pile that never shrinks. Plan to rewatch the movie after reading the book whenever that is.
The book was a super quick read for me, it was originally a screenplay, but when the original plan for making a movie went no where, Sagan adapted it to be a book, which was then adapted into a movie.
