    Whoever convinced soldiers of all nations that Jodhpurs were a flattering garment for men has a lot to answer for.
    Mind you, I have a soft spot for knee high puttees, so we’re all gullible in different ways.

    Fun fact: “Tanks” are called “tanks”, because the British Navy, responsible for these armed, armored “Land Ships”, called them tanks in communications, as in water storage tanks, by way of concealing their true purpose from the enemy. Maybe everyone else already knew that… if I’d learned it previously, I’d forgotten until just lately, when I learned it, (possibly again).
