The metaverse has a groping problem already

A woman was sexually harassed on Meta’s VR social media platform. She’s not the first—and won’t be the last.

You may think that this article’s headline means that while she had a headset on someone reached over to her and groped her, but that didn’t happen. Their shitty click bait headline instead is just a shitty click baity way to say that another user in the game she was playing had their virtual hands all over her virtual body. The article even has a section header, which says “VR sexual harassment is sexual harassment, full stop”, which of course is pure bullshit. It’s a specific game that allows this too, which has already been patched.
