    Maybe we’ve got the timeline wrong, mixing up cause and effect. The current batch of trump-loving science denying republicans are not themselves taking ivermectin. They are the end result of ivermectin having been taken. Successfully. After the now-healthy horse has trotted off leaving a squirming mass of internal parasites writhing on the floor but making no progress in any direction, identifiable by all the tiny red maga hats. To take the metaphor to its logical conclusion, those parasite themselves have their own parasites which go by such names as gohmert, greene, de santis etc.


    Ivermectin has been around since 1981 and is a medication used to treat parasite infestations in humans, including head lice, scabies, river blindness (onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis, trichuriasis, ascariasis, and lymphatic filariasis. Its creators won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for its discovery and applications in 2015. It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines.     Yes, *some* doctors are prescribing the human form for people with COVID-19, but given that we have the vaccine, and Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody treatment, providing that drug, outside of a clinical trial, should be grounds to lose one’s medical license.
