I think SoS’s problem may be that the U.S. system of government, what with individual states and all, as well as the Federal government, may be a little too complex to grasp, and the public education system in Russia probably doesn’t spend much time on it.

Or, in the alternate, SoS simply believes that ONLY Democrats have agency, and Republican state legislatures are just operating randomly. (And that the Republican control of the Senate over the previous eight years, or so, had no impact on the make of of the Supreme Court.)

An Ipsos poll conducted in 2019 indicates that of 1,005 Americans surveyed :

55% say that abortion should be legal in most or all cases
73% say that facilities that provide abortion services should be allowed to remain in operation,
80% say that the Supreme Court should maintain the legal right to abortion

With that overwhelming majority, with control of the House, Senate and the White House, the Biden administration could at any time codify Roe vs Wade federally. It could have been enshrined into law by the Democrats any time they’ve had the majority over the last forty plus years but they decided instead to let it hang in the balance of the Supreme Court to play political games and fundraise off the constant threat of losing rights.

But they don’t give a fuck and your constant excuses for Democratic inaction make me want to vomit. How does it feel being part of the problem?

As expected, you are going out of your way to NOT call attention to the filibuster, which completely torpedoes your argument. The Dem majority in the Senate is NOT filibuster-proof. If the Republicans don’t want something to become law, it does not become law.
