Gov. Greg Abbott announced Tuesday he’s lifting the mask mandate in Texas, even as health officials warn not to ease safety restrictions.

    This virus disproportionately kills POC, who may not be able to socially distance in their apartment buildings and frequently do not go to the doctor because the bills would financially destroy their entire family. That is probably a big part of his decision to to this: eliminate a large group of people who reliably vote Democrat.
