Sky High

Directed by Mike Mitchell. With Kurt Russell, Kelly Preston, Michael Angarano, Danielle Panabaker. Set in an era where superheroes are commonly known and accepted, young William Stronghold, the son of the Commander and Jetstream, tries to find a balance between being a normal teenager and an extraordinary being.

I saw this back when it came out in 2005 and hadn’t thought of it for even a moment until someone mentioned that Bruce Campbell was in it and Kevin Heffernan was a bus driver in it and I didn’t remember that at all, so decided to watch it again. I had forgotten how delightfully cheesy it is, and I’m not sure I even knew who Danielle Panabaker was, but she certainly was cute as a button back then, wasn’t she?

I remember my son watching this and I had to explain why Bruce Campbell going by Coach Boomer was so awesome!

I’ve loved this movie for years and was really disapponted that they didn’t come out with the TV series they talked about afterwards.

Bruce Campbell can make the unwatchable entertaining.

“Can”? I’d argue he does it pretty damn often.
