Everything wrong with scientifically illiterate reporting.
A few years back, the WHO released a report saying that daily eating of red and processed meats caused a 30% increase in rates of prostate cancer. Newspapers had GIANT headlines about it. But no one mentioned that it was an increase from an overall 4.5% chance to 5.3%. So everyone was talking like a third of all adult men would get ass cancer. WHICH WASN’T FUCKING HAPPENING, IF ANYONE HAD EITHER DONE THE MATH RIGHT OR MERELY LOOKED AT ASS CANCER RATES.
