The first episode feels like an HBO series that uses nudity to pull you in, but since you’ve been pulled in, why not stay for the fantastic story and world that they’ve built for you? There nothing as lurid in the series as that first 20 minutes, but I’m perfectly fine with that, as this is a tightly scripted series that hits all my Buffy fandom triggers, just without the need for Vampires, werewolves, or hunky cyborgs.
