    I tend to think that Trump doesn’t actually give a shit about religion; but rather, thinks of it as an investment: Buying church leaders, with money that isn’t his, to steer swathes of practitioners to his re-election.

    So much of the Evangelical Church has always been a grift. Now with the boon in Prosperity Gospel and the Internet it’s even more lucrative of a grift, and if there’s one thing Trump loves it’s a good grifting con on the rubes.
