Meet Joe Bowers (Luke Wilson). He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed. But when a government hibernation experiment goes awry, Bowers awakens in the year 2505 to find a society so dumbed-down by mass commercialism and mindless TV programming that he’s become the smartest guy on the planet. Now it’s up to an average Joe to get human evolution back on track.

There’s a risk that’s run when you show something you love to someone that you love, maybe they won’t love it too? I found out tonight that my wife doesn’t like Idiocracy, one of America’s greatest comedy films of all time.

Idiocracy even gets better with time. Because it gets more true to the present. It’s really astounding how Judge predicted the future. Perhaps your wife doesn’t want to be reminded how fucked humankind most probably is.

Yeah, that’s true. I was just generalizing that with stupid tv shows and the social media flood, society in general seems to be getting less intelligent and responsible. I heard about studies that intelligence in humankind is still on the rise though. But my impression is the opposite with all those right wing idiots and radical left snowflake assholes.
Facebook seems to get less popular with the younger consumer though. That could be a good thing.

I hope she makes a good latte because her sense of humor is obviously wack.
