Details the unconventional life of Dr. William Marston, the Harvard psychologist and inventor who helped invent the modern lie detector test and created Wonder Woman in 1941. Marston was in a polyamorous relationship with his wife Elizabeth, a psychologist and inventor in her own right, and Olive Byrne, a former student who became an academic.

Absolutely fantastic story editing and acting by everyone involved, there were many opportunities to move the plot away from uncomfortable subjects or to frame things in a more softer lens. Directed by Angela Robinson, I’m happy she didn’t go that route and instead tackled everything head on. This is likely one of the most emotionally and logically true movie I’ve seen in the last few years, highly suggest to anyone that’s either interested in Wonder Woman’s roots IRL or the benefits of pushing past easy answers to complex problems and situations.
