NOVA returns to Ground Zero to witness the completion of One World Trade Center. As the superstorm Sandy bore down on New York, many feared that the still-incomplete structures would be especially vulnerable to the storms wrath. NOVA reveals the engineering story behind their remarkable resilience to natures worst blows. The greatest test is still to come, though: will the final product be a fitting site for national remembrance?

The “Freedom Tower” is on my short list of places to go, so this was interesting to see “how it was made”. This was released back in 2013, so they don’t have any updates on who’s working or living in the building, but they do have an hour’s worth of behind the scenes on the construction of both the tower and the 9-11 memorial that’s right next door.
