As a machinist myself I can tell you how lucky this guy is to be alive. Long sleeves, gloves, and loose clothing is a no no. Also take off watches and rings unless you want to lose a finger at the minimum.

I’ve seen photos of where a similar thing happened but crushed the man’s head instead.
