    I’m curious though how he feels about being this week’s poster boy for the horribly repressed manosphere…?

    Oh, yeah, you’re right, he kinda, sorta has a skin color that’s somewhat similar to what I picture to be the people who hold all the power in the world, which means he himself clearly holds all the power and clearly has never ever been on the receiving end of discrimination, repression, or mistreatment.

    Sure, he’s an overweight, tattooed nerd with dorky glasses, but he’s a white male, so his life obviously has been absolute heaven since the day he was born.

    I dunno fink…this is the definition on Wiki (not that Wiki is always right)….but it jibes with most of the other definitions I’ve read online:

    “The manosphere (portmanteau of man and blogosphere) is a name given to an informal network of blogs, websites, and internet commentators that focus on issues relating to men and masculinity, in opposition to feminism. ”

    You are correct thought that sometimes it also includes players.

    So I guess now you know what the “manoshpere” refers to.

    But as I was referring to the “horribly repressed manosphere”…I think I was pretty clear on that.

    In any case…I wonder how he feels about being a ping-pong ball between two opposing sectors of insane cliques…?

    Yes, but this is the internet, where everything has to mean more than just ‘exactly what happened.’ Everything must be analyzed to death and be very clearly relevant to whatever anyone else is passionate about.

    He posted an explanation on how he was using the term 7 good hours before your post. You may not agree with the definition, but its use is obvious (plus backed up by wikipedia, knowyourmeme, and urban dictionary).

    Y’know, two days went by between me seeing th pic of him and hearing about any controversy surrounding the shirt. This seems to be the ultimate manufactured tempest in a teakettle.

    I read his shirt was designed by a female friend. Bottom line – He made a slightly misjudged sartorial error. Probably should have gone for something a bit more sober. He apologized for any upset he might have caused. End of.
