The countries that have the best educated, most content (happiest) populations with the longest life expectancy, best healthcare, most vacation time, maternity leave and lowest infant mortality rates are the ones that practice a mix of socialism and free market economies.
Iceland…the Scandinavian countries.
And are still among the wealthiest in the world.
Despite the rightwing rhetoric, a degree of socialism is beneficial to a society.

Seems like capitalism, socialism and communism got that part in common, then, even if they differ in degrees.
Capitalism also rewards laziness. The laziness of the rich.

How exactly does being lazy make you rich? What is the process? I don’t think you can get rich off food stamps.
Are you saying all rich people earn their money? Do you know how the richest women in the world got their money? From their husbands or inheritence. I didn’t say being lazy made you money. The more money you have, the easier it is to make money. You can put it in a bank and do nothing for the rest of your life except collect interest.
You’re talking about old money vs new money. There’s really not much difference between old money and a welfare bum. But new money? They had to bust their ass to get it, often breaking the rules and taking huge risks.
So you agree that capitalism also rewards laziness? I’m glad.

The difference is Socialism and Communism embrace laziness, where as Capitalism uses positive reinforcement by rewarding those that are productive more than those that are lazy.
by your own admission “old money” = “welfare bum” and yet under capitalism these are the people who benefit the most from money they themselves inherit. in capitalism corporations become the oppressive regime of which you fear. their money influences law, politics,pollution,economics are all controlled by faceless companies whose only concern is the making of profit. sounds like a shit world to me, with all the wrong goals and priorities.
