The only one of Palahniuk’s novels I’ve read is Haunted. I enjoyed the film version of Fight Club. I love all the stories about ‘Guts’ causing mass faintings. Personally, I didn’t find it that disturbing, but then I’m a sick, little puppy.
The fainting is really caused by the foolishness of anyone heeding Chuck Palahniuk’s advice to hold their breath for the duration of the story. I mean, REALLY. He’s known as the king of the literary mind f**k. Would you jump off a cliff if Chuck Palahniuk told you to?
David Mack, the artist who did this, is one of the coolest people I have ever met. He did the end credits for The Winter Soldier and just finished a run on Dare Devil. I can’t wait to see him at Dragon Con this year.
