So after the simulation was over, what happened to the semen left behind after Riker used the holodeck, and the piss after Tasha Yar? That place must have become a major bio hazard after a while.

The holodecks have a self cleaning routine that utilizing micro transporters and tractor beams to handle any of that.

I must admit, I didn’t think about Holodecks in _that_ way, until DS9 and Quarks mentioning of: “Vulcan Love Slave”, and similar programs. Then I wondered the same thing: “Who cleans them ?”, forgetting that _this_, is the future.

IIRC, Broccoli did it on TNG and Quark did it on DS9. they were reprimanded for it, but they seemed to be more frowned on than illegal.

I always suspected Odo’s popularity soared when he changed stuff. To grow a third ‘leg’ he became shorter. Lose a few toes and the tongue became longer. I think they could have done more to explore the relationship between he and Kira.
