    They’re normally known as ‘cue marks’. This is the film that completely changed my opinion of Helena Bonham Carter. Having previously thought of her as a bit of a Merchant Ivory bore, she gleefully unshackles herself from her old persona and dives into Marla Singer like a woman possessed. And she does the best cinematic smoking since Marlene Dietrich.
