Back in the day the movie studios didn’t think that folks would go and see super hero films so most of them were made on a bit of a lower budget than we’re used to now.

    development of cgi had a lot to do with it too


    Back in the days, people who read comic books, were penniless teenagers. Now those teenagers aren’t teenagers, and have monies, hence the hueg budgets for comic adaptations – producers they know that there’s a lot of people who will pay for it, and related shit.
