    I think it’s a spitfire but I’m not 100% certain.
    The side profile looks right for a later model spit but the wings aren’t the typical shape.

    It could be a ground attack model though – they often had clipped wings.

    Am I the only person who thinks there’s a massive cut as it goes behind the other plane?

    Also it’s a Yak-9, not a Spit.

    You might be right about the Yak-9 – I’m less familiar with the Russian WW2 planes.
