    I wasn’t aware anyone was stating retirees on SS were freeloading(besides the plans to gut MCare by R’s).

    I hear it a lot, but generally phrased as “they bleed out more than they put in” and, if they work instead, “take jobs away from the younger generation.” Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

And no one said he has to live off a “measley” <(lolspell much) 14K a year. Everyone knows they're going to get old one day. It's called saving. If you don't…that's your own fault for being stupid.     First: There isn’t a politician ANYWHERE, of either party who has said this.
    Second: Social Security was originally envisioned as a SUPPLEMENTAL retirement income.
    Third: If the same amount of money the average person invests in SS were invested in the stock market, the average “nest egg” would be over $600,000.

    In short – typical Democrat blather.
