A flag no more: Microsoft unveils new Windows logo

The multicolored Windows flag is no more. Windows 8 will do away with the wavy Windows logo that Microsoft has used in one form or another for the last 20 years, and replace it with a logo that’s, well, a window.

I’ve really only known the Windows “Flag” logo, I was 12 when it first came out and I was still a wee little nerdling and hadn’t gotten my first ‘real’ computer yet.

    THIS IS AN OUTRAGE

But I’ve been trying the dev beta and the everything else seems pretty solid. It even makes IE seem like a legitimate browser.

It’s bad if I could’ve painted the logo.

How they trademarked that is beyond me.

well it’s called windows, but the logo only shows A window
should be more than one window in it, i know, the last logo also had only one window, it sucks anyway. they’re following apple’s lead by simplifiyng everything.
