Abrams Sells Post-Apocalyptic ‘Revolution’ Pilot To NBC

“In this epic adventure thriller, a family struggles to reunite in a post-apocalyptic American landscape: a world of empty cities, local militias and heroic freedom fighters, where every single piece of technology — computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights — has mysteriously blacked out … forever.”

I’ve completely given up on JJ Abrams’ work, after seeing what he did to Star Trek, how LOST ended, the cluster f*ck that Fringe turned out to be, and ultimately hearing his TED presentation, I’ve realized that he’s not there to tell a story with a firm start, middle and end, he’s here to tell you about the possibility of the story, not the story itself. Seeing the reviews of his latest project, Alcatraz, it seems like I’m right on the money about his style of story telling…all style, little substance. Also, I think I saw this series already when it was named Dark Angel, Jericho, Terra Nova.

Fuckin-A, Tiki…although I think the chick on Alcatraz is pretty cute.

Agreed on all accounts – I picked up on this shit right at the beginning when he broke ALIAS.

Allow me to say, though, that I’m bitter as hell about Fringe. How can something with such fantastic actors, characters, and premise all go so very wrong? I keep hoping against hope that they’ll find a way to fix it.

Walter Bishop is one of my favorite characters to come out of fiction – ever. John Noble is brilliant in that role.

All his work sucks because he is at best the guy who wrote Felicity and had it promoted until it was mildly successful because he is a jew. That’s about it and no way to dress it up. He has his job and money because one jew said to another jew lets make this jew here some money.

You will always at least THINK he’s successful and will watch his stuff and you can guess as to why.

Anddddddddddddddd, Tiki for the win! Abrams needs to be kicked in the balls (repeatedly) for that ball of shit, Cloverfield, not to mention the way he farked up Lost.

Will not watch new, stupid show.

    Luke Magnifico

I liked Jericho, for a while, but then nothing happened that I cared about and plot arcs went too long without any answers, and I didn’t even notice when it got canned.

Nonetheless, if he gets this new shitcan off the ground I’ll watch it religiously because I’m a sucker for post apocalyptic fiction.

Sounds a lot like “Dies the Fire.”
