    The notion that SOPA was going to end freedom of speech and the Internet is as ridiculous as the notion that it was going to reduce, let alone stop, piracy on the Internet. With a law as ridiculously broad and subjective as that one, if it had passed, it would’ve taken 4chan about ten minutes to close down the website of every mayor movie studio, TV network and music company on copyright violation grounds using the law itself, which would have had it reverted faster than a speeding bullet.
