I used to think the same way. Then recently I started to learn about the nearly unimaginable benefits we will reap once we understand how a brain works. And anyway, most of that shit is to anchor the sensors to the animals skull, the bits that go into the brain are invisibly thin; after all, we don’t want to fuck up the brain before we study its function.
