to pass army basic training in 1993, i had to do 42 push ups with in 2 minutes, 52 sit ups within 2 minutes, and run two miles in under 18ish i beleive.

also had to qualify in Basic Rifle Marksmanship and throw two live grenades.

but that was all it took. and some dudes got two or three chances to pass. and there were some that didnt make it

That doesn’t sound so hard if you train for it. I’d rather join the Navy, Coast Guard or Air Force.

Fat fucks like this pissed me off when I was a NCO in the Army.

Believe it or not, the Army has regulations to prevent stuff like this, but unfortunately command is too worried about having “boots on the ground” that they don’t care if said boots come with cankles or not.

I currently am an NCO in the Army and these dudes piss me off pretty bad too. I hate to stereotype, but damn if most of them are National Guard or Reservists. I think the problem comes from the Commanders being friends with them back home and not wanting to kick them out, because Snuffy’s wife makes good apple pie and CPT so and so’s mama would kick his ass if he kicked poor little bubba out of the Army. I swear to god, once when I was a Private, some 12 years ago, there were some National Guard that came to Korea for their 2 week drill and one of them had to show up at PT Formation every day in civilian clothes, because the Army did not make a PT uniform that could fit her.

That’s mean. I mean fat people are awful, but you shouldn’t make fun of somebody over in Whereverthefuckistan who’s probably got a family back here to worry about, sand people with guns trying to kill him, and other depressing shit.
