The other day my friend Jack, who’s in Durham, told me that he wouldn’t be home on Friday, which is when he was meant to be home. I was like, Ok, when are you home. He then told me that he was joking, and that he would be home when he was meant to be home. I said, uh, ok, but that wasn’t a joke, there was no joke, do you not know what a joke is.

I think this is a similar situation.
