The medal looks all dumb. I was just thinking about what it would b like to work all your life for an olympic medal, and then get one and be like, Jees, the medals sure look stupid this year.

I was thinking the same thing. It’s bad enough to make an Olympic medal out of scrap parts, but they could at least not deliberately make it look recycled. It must have been nice back in the day when a medal was truly Gold, Silver or Bronze.

First one I saw was a bronze and I thought someone had swiped the real one with a penny they’d put on the railroad tracks.

We’re fucking off right now with the Mens & Ladies Gold in hockey & a record for the most Gold medals of any nation including the host. If you call that fucking off we’re more than happy to. Lick Shaft gerbil lover.

It was a nail biter for sure. The USA outplayed Canada in the 3rd period & deserved the win on the grit for the comeback. We won because we realigned after you beat us the 1st time. We parked Brodeur on the bench & rejigged the lines. Iginla, Staal & Crosby were magic on the front & Louongo played like Ryan Miller between the pipes. It didn’t hurt that our young guys on the blueline stepped up & Neidermeyer played with class. The USA has nothing to be ashamed of. The Men & Ladies played like champions. See you in Sochi. Let’s just make sure we embarrass the dirty Ruskies…

And some Canadians have no class. USA kicked ass this Olympics in Hockey and deserves some f’n respect. They played with a ton of heart when the crowd against them. Scored during a clinch moment for overtime too. We also beat Canada after half a decade!!!! Either way it was a great game. My SJ Sharks got 4 Gold and 1 Silver!

Hold on, who’s got no class? What’s with the pissing and moaning, you want a medal or something.. wait a minute, you got a medal, a nice (hard earned, well deserved) SILVER medal.

Sharks line was great for Canada, although Thorton was non-existant almost the entire tourney.

Miller was outstanding, and we’ll give our opponents their due, but we’ll also celebrate this win, that Crosby overtime goal, and the gold medal for as long as people play this game!

I am not sour, but USA really screwed up in the overtime. How do you not cover Crosby? They gave the OT goal away, IMHO. This is not saying Canada did not play a great game, only that the USA should have known better.

Pissing and moaning? I congratulated Canada and even cheered them on a bit. Three posts on Canadas victory is enough to make anyone pissed off… And some Canadians are going a bit overboard celebrated crossing the line and being disrespectful… Hence the no class.

Both teams needed to play with more urgency in the OT Period and for such an amazing game Crosbys overtime goal was somewhat anti climactic. Total gimme goal.
