Very true, nyokki. However, the stats on last night’s game show that if not for Miller making a ridiculous amount of saves, the Canadians should have trounced us.

This is pretty much the same situation that the Buffalo Sabres tend to be in most of the time, where Miller breaks his freaking back from carrying the whole damn team around.

Yeah, I know. It just tweaks me a bit when people say, If not for A, B wouldn’t have won. You work w/ what you’ve got, and they have a really good goalie.

As a Buffalonian, I’m really worried about Miller burning himself out. We have no one to float us through the playoffs if he wears himself out in Vancouver.

I’m really happy about this win, though. Lots of Buffalo Sabres in the Olympics this year, too. I’m sure Lindy Ruff was happy to see Miller playing so well last night, even if he was shutting down Ruff’s Canadian team.

The US and Canada women’s team are pretty close to on par with each other. Canada has one more goal against, but ten more goals. I would laugh my ass off if US faced Finland in the finals, but that is incredibly unlikely.

I am actually hoping Russia whoops on Canada if they make it out of the quarters, so we can get a 1980 rematch (ish).
