    I pre-ordered it off of Steam for 10 bucks off the total price. I’m excited.

    Idiot. Don’t pre-order anything.

    Wait a month or 2 for it to come out, look at all the bugs, complaints, etc.

    Then download it when the company is busy with bug fixes and patches and not concerned about people downloading it.

    Then you can see for yourself if it’s a good game.

    I’ve only bought 5 games for pc.
    BF2, AVP2 ($5) Rise of nations and it’s expansion, thrones and patriots, halo, and recently, CS:S (with DoD:S).

    I played non-steam, cracked digital zone CS:S for years before actually buying it. And the ONLY reason I did was because of the lack of security (hackers) and because there weren’t enough surf maps, or servers for that matter.

    It’s all relative.

    BF2 with all the expansions is only $20, used to be $50 + each expansion.

    And they just came out with the 1.50 patch that gives you free booster packs and maps, and tons of fixes…so I choose to wait several years.

    I just bought a brand new 2600XT for $25. GDDR3, shader model 4.0, etc.

    Brand new that card probably cost over $100, but I waited a couple years and I’ll be good for a couple years.

    It’s wise to stay behind in technology in my opinion.

    And don’t be a stupid gamer – wait till the game has it’s bug fixes and what not.
