I can’t remember where we’re currently at in the Spiderman timeline. Did they stick with that “reboot” or is Peter P. still married to Mary Jane?
if I remember correctly, Peter Parker ended up killing Mary Jane so that his aunt may could live.
Fools! Peter Parker made a deal with the devil ala Mephisto to save his dying Aunt May in exchange for the dissolution of his marriage to Mary Jane. In this current continuity, Peter Parker dated MJ but they separated after high school or what not, and she is now dating some movie star in LA while he is having to use web shooters and fight retconned villians. And Aunt May is totally banging J Jonah Jameson’s father.
Basically Quesada said “YOU WANNA SEE PETER DIE! EVERYTHING WAS BETTER IN THE 70s!” and BAM! Aunt May gets shot, no one from the mightiest mage to the world’s best scientist can heal her, Peter enters a faustian deal, sacrificing his adult life so that Aunt May could live.
And then there was Secret Invasion which also restored alot of stuff from the 70s.
Bullshit is what it is…. it was lame and stupid, and the guy who had to write it was forced to do so, because he was pissed at said bullshit and lamety
